Master the core TEE views used in resuscitation during this intense 1-day workshop. You will learn how to insert and manipulate a TEE probe using simulators and common shock and arrest scenarios. Upon successful completion of the program with written, visual, and observed practical exams, you will obtain independent practitioner certification with the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society if you are already certified in the transthoracic resuscitation pathway.
You will perform multiple TEE probe insertions on simulators to become familiar with technique, trouble shooting maneuvers, contraindications, and tips and tricks used by the experts.
You will learn how to generate 3 key cardiac views used in cardiac arrest and unstable shock patients.
You will learn how to clinically integrate your TEE views to improve CPR, resuscitation interventions, and clinically integrate your scans into diagnosis and management.
